  • Stay Healthy

As a kid, I was said to be pretty healthy. I hardly fell sick, yet recovered very fast when I did.
My mom assumed that it was because I had regularly consumed milk and eggs every day when I was a toddler.
I had outgrown my mom's and my aunt's height, became the tallest 'girl' among relatives.

    But look what happened recently!
I fell sick every alternate month and my recovery isn't as speedy as it used to be.
Probably because I had cut down my diet in order to reduce weight recently.
I must have messed up with the nutrition.

I didn't treasure my health when it was all good.
I didn't appreciate the fact that I could eat whatever I wanted to.

Maybe I'll take better care of myself from now on.

( I really really want a cone of ice-cream, if only my throat is in good condition )
    :(

Some of my coworkers are also drinking this slimming drink called "green coffee". They said that it's all about green tea and coffee so that there won't be any negative side-effects. But one of them lost 9 pounds already in about 3 weeks, and she didn't feel like eating much while she used to eat a lot. Sure, there was no visible side effects. You also didn't have any side effects when you lowered your food intake in the past 3 or 4 months, but what you're suffering right now can be called side effects too, right? I also wanna lose about 10 pounds before December and I even thought about eating less. Now that I've read your post, I guess I should just work out but maintain healthy eating without lowering my food intake.

Sleep well and drink plenty of water. I hope you get better soon.

@kyalzinlay - Thank you for your comment. Yes, I feel better now. It's probably the joint side affects of both dieting and smoking.
I have stopped both, well at the very least, the latter one. =D

I am thinking to consume at least a glass of milk a day and a boiled egg in the morning. I should re-build my resistance or immune system. Haven't started yet. =D

I wasn't a healthy kid, but i'm now, like you, realizing that I have to take better care of myself. I've been drinking more water, eating healthier, I haven't been working out as much as I should, but I feel better than ever :)

@LillyVRose - I also did work out for a few months. I was healthy while exercising regularly. Later I got bored so I maintained my weight only by controlling the food intake. There must be some deficiency I didn't notice and my health wasn't sound like before anymore. Smoking also is a major factor for my lousy recovery when I fall sick.
