I'm not sure if any of you has done this when you were young, or even doing it when you are nearly at the age of 40.
Assume there are 3 people namely – Caro, Kris and Mike. Okay? Kris is a common friend/connection between Caro and Mike. One day, Caro and Mike had a very very big argument which Kris has nothing to do with. Caro and Mike stopped talking to each other because of the argument. But Kris, on the other hands, kept talking to both. All of a sudden, Caro has stopped talking to Kris too just because he is a friend of Mike with whom she did not see an eye to eye anymore. Kris, feeling puzzled what he had done wrong, was sad because Caro did not talk to him anymore despite his innocence.
A month later, or maybe a year later, Caro and Kris has completely forgotten the argument they once had and started talking to each other again – they are in good terms again!
Then, Caro resumed talking to Kris again because Kris's friend Mike is in with good terms with her. It was "as if" Caro never stopped talking to Kris. It was "as if" their conversation was just paused just another day.
Another month or year passed by and all those while Caro was in good terms with Mike as well as she was with Kris. Then again, Mike started an argument, or a mistake that Caro could not forgive. This time again, it has nothing to do with Kris, except being "Mike's friend" which he could not help. The moment Caro did not see an eye to eye with Mike, she stopped talking to Kris as well.
Do you guys still do that?
Well, I have always been in Kris's place. I was being "fair-weathered" should I say? Despite all the efforts I try to keep up, or help with good intentions, they will all be forgotten once things go wrong between certain people. And I'll be blamed for being in the "connections" with them. Am I not an individual anyway?
Everyone deserves to be treated as an individual regardless of their "connections"

(I'm just giving you an example) Let's say, Should we arrest a son of Osama Bin Lardin's just because he is one of the offspring of Osama? I mean, if he had not done anything wrong like his dad of course.
