  • Are you determined enough to do what you intended to do?

    I've been having the intentions
    1. to lose weight – even though I'm not overweight, I want my sleek body which could fit into skinny jeans.
    2. to use more of public transport and less of taxi
    3. to have Heavy healthy breakfast but skip dinner (but I've been doing the other way round – No breakfast, but heavy dinner)
    4. to wake up early enough to be able to do No. 2, and 3.
    5. to go to bed early but I'm more of a night person than morning person

If you looked at it carefully, you would see some, if not all, of the above intentions are co-related with each other – none of which ever happened – well not as frequently as I desired, but only once in a while. The moment I thought I would go to bed early, I end up reading a very good book which dragged me until 2 am. Oh!  to save up money. How will I ever save up when I'm spending too much on taxi fares?

You think motivations would work? I have been looking at those skinny models in sexy outfits with no tummy fats, yet I comfort myself "Maybe I don't need to be that skinny."
Above of all, I have my excuses justified like "I don't wanna be late for work, so I must take taxi."  or "Aww come on, this one time would not affect much."
"Anyway, it's Saturday, I shouldn't be up that early" and ended up waking up at 3 pm??

I know, all I need is just a strong determination.
But where do I find that?

That was exactly what I was thinking this morning. On the cab, of course. Oh I was also thinking to blog about it, and you beat me to it.

Excuses ... excuses. Not now. Not today. One day wouldn't hurt. I'll do it tomorrow.

    Those are all I have.

A good point.  You know what?  I have made tens of resolutions, if not hundreds, all through my over-52 years of life and never ever been able to put any of them into action. I believe it's natural for happy-go-easy and wanna-be-always-independent kind of people like you and me.  We love to make resolutions but we're too in love with ourselves to flex our habits.  Final words of encouragement:  you're not at all alone, dear!!!

    Cheers
